What We Do

In order to ensure that an array of community services are available and accessible to Montgomery County residents, the County Office of Mental Health plans, funds, administers, and monitors services that are provided by private community agencies licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

This Mental Health Service System is designed to offer adults with severe and persistent psychiatric disabilities and children with social, emotional, and behavioral disorders an individualized, comprehensive network of support.

A Montgomery County resident may be funded for services in whole or in part by the County.  A liability is determined based upon the type of service requested. Private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid also reimburse for some services.

To find out if the Mental Health system can help you or a member of your family, contact the Case Management Office that serves your area and that is listed in the Montgomery County Mental Health System Brochure.
